Let me be more clear …..applying False Eyelashes!! Today false eyelashes are being worn more than ever. False Eyelashes range in size, shape, texture and color. Most people wear false eyelashes to make their own lashes appear thicker and fuller. Others may wear them for theatre shows or costumes. There are two types of false eyelashes. There are strip lashes, which are lashes that are attached to a small band or strip of material. There are individual eyelashes. These lashes have a small bulb at the bottom of two or three lash clusters. Whatever the reason, applying them properly can take practice.
Strip eyelashes are the most commonly used. Lashes will have a sticky material on the strip, but this is not enough to adhere the lash properly. You will need eyelash glue. The glue may come out white, but it will dry clear. You will also need a pair of tweezers and possibly a pair of scissors. Apply a thin layer of mascara to your natural lashes. This helps the strip lash to stick to your natural lashes. First take the strip lash from the the package. Hold the lash up to your eye to measure the length of the strip. Also make sure the shorter lashes are at the inner corner and the longer lashes are on the outer corner. If the band is longer than your eyelid, trim off with scissors to fit. Take the strip and wrap it around the tip of your finger to bend the strip. Hold for a minute or two. This will help the lash to bend slightly and adhere to the natural curve of your eyelid. Place a line of glue along the strip band. Attach the center of the false lash to your eyelid. Using tweezers, or your fingers, attach the ends to your lash line. Hold for a few seconds. The lash should now be secured to your eyelid. Allow the glue to dry completely. Vwala long lashes lashes….now go bat an eye!!
