Financial Aid Planning is offered to all interested students upon their first visit to Altoona Beauty School. Our Admissions department can assist you in completing Financial Aid Applications at no cost or obligation weekdays between 8:30am and 4:00pm. If these hours are not convenient, please contact the school office to schedule a later time.

Pell Grants

For the 2023-2024 award year, the maximum amount a student could be eligible for is $7395.00. This is based on student and/or students’ parents tax information.

Direct Student Loan

A dependent or independent student may borrow both Subsidized and Unsubsidized loans based on need and eligibility. Shorter term programs are eligible for pro-rated loan limits (i.e.: manicuring, esthetician, and teachers).

PA Forward Student Loans

A new low-cost way to pay for college.

OVR

Monthly Payments

A payment plan can be arranged through Altoona Beauty School based on enrollment time.

Altoona Beauty School is Approved For: Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation, Veteran Training, Pell Grants, Direct Loans.

Student Services

Federal Direct Loan Code of Conduct Altoona Beauty School, Inc.

Does not solicit or accept anything of value from any lender, in exchange for any advantage sought by the lender to make private loans to students enrolled at the Altoona Beauty School, Inc.

Prohibits employees of the Financial Aid or Administrative Office or any employee who has responsibilities with federal or private student loans to accept gifts worth more than $10.00 from a lender. This includes gratuity, favor, discount, entertainment, hospitality, loan, service, transportation, lodging, meals, or reimbursement.

Prohibits employees of the Financial Aid or Administrative Office or any employee who has responsibilities with federal or private student loans to enter into a consulting arrangement or contract with a lender, guarantee agency, or servicer with a lender to provide services relating to educational loans.

Prohibits employees, representatives, or agents of lenders from providing staffing services to the Financial Aid or Administrative Office.

Prohibits employees, representatives, or agents of a lender for representing themselves as employees of Altoona Beauty School, Inc. to students or parents.

Employees of Altoona Beauty School, Inc who serve on an advisory board, commission, or group established by a lender, guarantor, or group of lenders or guarantors, shall be prohibited from receiving anything of value from the lender, guarantor, group of lenders or guarantors. However, the employee may be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in serving on the advisory board, commission or group.

Does not accept revenue sharing between Altoona Beauty School, Inc and lenders, servicers, or guaranty agencies.

Prohibits conflicts of interest between Altoona Beauty School, Inc employees and lenders, servicers, or guaranty agencies.

Employees shall not assign, through award packaging or other methods, a first-time borrower’s loan to a particular lender or refuse or delay processing of a loan based on the borrower’s selection of a lender.

Employees shall not accept or request any assistance with call center or financial aid office staffing from any lender except as allowed by law. Please contact the Financial Aid representative at your school if you have any questions.
